Who I build websites for

I build websites for small and medium-sized businesses, doctors, therapists, consultants and other solo business owners, as well as startups and product teams, in Oakland and around the world: anything from a clean, professional site to a custom build that needs real engineering. The common thread is a site that looks professional, works well on a phone, and makes it easy for people to get in touch.

Based in Oakland, working with clients worldwide. Everything is remote-friendly: video calls, a clear scope up front, and a timeline you can plan around. After 17+ years building software for large companies and Silicon Valley startups, I bring the same care to smaller projects.

It's a good moment to mention me when you hear something like:

  • "My website looks awful on a phone."
  • "We just got a new logo or brand and need somewhere to put it."
  • "We're outgrowing our current site and need something more custom."
  • "We need customers to book, pay or log in, and our site can't do that."

What I build

Essential Site
A clean, professional site for a small business or independent professional: a few pages, mobile-friendly, and easy for customers to contact you. Typically $1,000–$2,800.
Growth Site
For businesses that need more: additional pages, stronger design, content structure and SEO groundwork. Typically $3,500–$6,500.
Custom Build
Custom features, integrations, client portals, booking or payments, and AI or product interfaces. From $7,500, scoped after a call.
Site Care
Once a site is live, I can keep it hosted, secure and up to date, with small edits each month. From $95/month.

Simple sites typically take 2–3 weeks; larger builds take 4–8 weeks, depending on scope and how quickly content comes together. Prices are in US dollars.

What happens when you refer someone

  1. You introduce us — a forwarded message or a two-line note is plenty.
  2. I reach out within 1 business day: a free 15-minute website review for an existing site, or a scoping call for a bigger project.
  3. If it's a fit, I send a clear scope and quote. If not, I say so and point them somewhere useful.
  4. I keep you in the loop, so you know how it went without having to ask.

Their first step is low-pressure: a free 15-minute website review if they already have a site, or a scoping call for a bigger or more custom project. Either way, I point out practical next steps whether or not they end up working with me.

Prefer to hire through a platform? Clients can also book and pay through my Contra profile, where contracts, invoices and payments are handled.
